Today I'm sharing a colourful and cute Christmas card made using lots of my Derwent collection!

The image was stamped onto watercolour paper using a Staz on solvent based ink pad, as I wanted it to be waterproof, I then used my tin of Inktense blocks as a palette, along with a waterbrush and painted on a base of colour to the whole image - I wanted the image to be very striking with lots of intense colour, so these were perfect as a foundation!

While that was drying, I adhered a piece of cheesecloth fabric to the front of a card blank, making creases as I went, once I was happy with it, I misted an Inktense block with water so it was very slightly damp and rubbed it lightly across the surface to highlight the texture.

When my image was dry, I went back over with Coloursoft pencils to add lots of dimension and colour to my image. I love to layer the colours like this, it makes them so vibrant!
Finally, when the fabric was dry, I added the image to the front of my card and highlighted with some Stickles glitter glue to make the snow sparkle!

Thanks so much for looking, we’d love you to come and share your Inktense and Coloursoft projects over on the Derwent Facebook page! I’ll be back soon with another project.
